Sensational Umbria

One hundred images of Steve McCurry, with over seventy unpublished, are the contents of the exhibition "Sensational Umbria" which will open in Perugia from 29 March to 5 October 2014. The exhibition recounts the journey that the artist has made in Umbria, with the goal of telling a land rich in time , suggestions of the past but also the ability of its inhabitants to live the present epoch . The exhibition is sponsored and organized by the Umbria Region in collaboration with the Municipality of Perugia, for the most part will be placed in the spaces Ex- Fatebenefratelli soon recovered and opened for the occasion. A portion of the images will be placed in the Museum of Palazzo Penna , in the Hall of Boards of Beuys.
The Project Sensational Umbria  is made by the Umbria Region as part of a strategy of territorial development which in time will affirm the brand Umbria. Steve McCurry has done work of documentation of territorial values taking advantage of the most significant aspects of contemporary Umbria .The choice of photography has allowed the region to speak a universal language , that of images , enabling communication skills and emotional expression hardly comparable with other instruments. The project has been through a few clicks premiered at Fuorisalone di Milano, at the Pinacoteca di Brera , then Marseilles, New York, Perugia, Assisi and Orvieto. At the time of the Project will include presentations in Shanghai, Terni, Città di Castello.
The exhibition in Perugia, in the two locations identified, will open March 29 to close on 5 October, and will be open every day from 10.30 to 19.00 with the exception of Mondays, unless otherwise indicated.
On Saturday you can visit the exhibition until 23. Any change will be immediately communicated through the site www.sensationalumbria.eu. The cost of the ticket is 6,50 Euros and there are multiple and different facilities.
